postal Museum — Attraction in okres Český Krumlov

This is a lovely postal museum with lots of exhibits that we really enjoyed looking at. We have several relatives and friends that used to work at the post office in Europe, and in the US and so it was interesting to compare and go down the memory lane. The hall with stage coaches and sleighs is very impressive and I loved all the paintings with parcels and posts being delivered even in winter time on the sleigh. This is not the best place for visitors with mobility issues, there are many steps to manage. Bathrooms are in the courtyard, free of charge, fairly clean and there is a very nice café with some seating outside with a view...

Velmi pěkné muzeum. Pro malé zvědavce je v nejvyšším patře nádherný sál s funkčními telefony, psacím strojem a spoustou interaktivních prvků. Určitě se vrátíme až budou děti starší a budou se zajímat detailněji jak funguje přenos informací od zvukových signálů přes první písemné informace až po posledních cca 200let které jsou samozřejmě nejzajímavější. Dnes to pošta z veleváženého úřadu kde pošťák byl možná nejdůležitější člověk v okolí dotáhla do stavu kdy bez problému ztratí i doporučené psaní a balík zůstane vždy na poště protože nejste doma i když vám to oznámení dají u branky...
