Car park about 500m below the ruins with watch tower is very convenient for those who are a bit lazy - like us. The path is via lovely woodland and leads to the castle ruins which are maintained, and very friendly staff offers some bites to recharge the energy.
You can spend a New Years Eve there (we have been told) with country music which I can not imagine how wonderfull that must be!
It is a living piece of history where all family can spend a great time.
The view from the top of the tower (last 64 steps) is simply amazing and if you are spending time arround Lipno nad Vltavou, just take a ferry in Frymburk and drive to the castle (10 mins).
