Muzeum týnecké kameniny — Attraction in okres Benešov

Městské muzeum najdeme v původně obytné budově připojené k hradu. Jde o prostory nevelké ale o to sympatičtější se stálou expozicí Týnecké kameniny, která v 19. století dosáhla značného věhlasu. Tato se nejprve vyráběla v areálu hradu a později zakladatel manufaktury František Josef z Vrtby postavil novou budovu, která dnes slouží jako společenské centrum a je další z dominant města. V galerii hradu se ale pořádají rovněž výstavy obrazů a soch. Přístupny jsou i prostory románského sklepení s archeologickou expozicí a zajímavými historickými dokumenty.

The town museum can be found in an originally residential building attached to the old castle. It is a small area, but that´s why it is even more sympathetic, with the permanent exhibition of Týnec stoneware, which reached a considerable degree of fame in the 19th century. This was first made in the castle grounds and later the founder of the manufactory, Frantisek Josef of Vrtba, made a new building, which today serves as a social center and is another of the dominant of the city.
