Žebrák castle — Attraction in okres Beroun

Souhradí Žebrák-Točník a okolí patří mezi největší perly Středočeského kraje. Dominantou Žebráku je vysoká okrouhlá věž - bergfrit - dnes využívaná jako rozhledna. Od poloviny 13. století byl využíván šlechtou i českými králi. Po požáru roku 1395 jej nechal Václav IV. přestavět, současně založil výše na skalním hřbetu nový hrad Točník, význam Žebráku tak postupně klesal, zároveň tím ale vzniklo jedinečné české souhradí.

Zajímavost: Název hradu není odvozen od slovesa "žebrati", nýbrž od slova "žebro". Jde o geologický útvar - skalní křemencový val (hřeben) - na kterém hrad stojí, a jež se táhne až k vrchu, na kterém stojí Točník.

It was almost a castle ruin where you can easily get with a few minutes hike. Good view from above with all those particles of ruin surround by. Točnik castle is visible from here which would be the good option to consider going together with. But a bit bummer the tower in this castle was closed so better check out the opening time of tower so that you can see...

I give 5 stars for the view but I am sad when I went here because I guess its not accessible to public. I tried to climb up and some locals prohibited me. I don't exactly understand what they are trying to say to me coz I don't understand czech but i know base on their actions that they want to tell me not to go there. Anyways .better me safe...
