The Cairn of Peace — Attraction in okres Brno-venkov

The Center of the Battlefield. In 1805 this was one of the most important spots during the Battle. Due to history there are a lot of memorials for fallen warriors of the Austria, French and Russian army. The Peace monument was built at beginning of 20th Century (100 years after the battle). The museum is nice: With audio visual support you get a lot of information about the battle, before and after. Due to arrangement of exhibition you cannot skip some stations (you have to wait until movie is over). Not much original exhibits from...

Disappointing: museum is miserable with some informations here and there. 1 rifle, 1 sword and you have it all... Who had the great idead to do renovation and close other parts during summer when tourists comes?! No english on boards so you have to walk with a notebook that gives you explaination it's the first time I see that and, come on, I visites museum all around...

Nice area. A bit history-failing, that even history mentioned like battle of 3 emperors, Czechs are added a 4 cornered column with themselves also on it feels like Czechia fought also in the battle and same sized as the Russian, French or Habsburg empire.
