Jara Cimrman Museum — Attraction in okres Jablonec nad Nisou

Ah, Jára Cimrman. That Czech genius who never existed, but who left a deeper mark than many who did. A fictional character created in 1966 by Zdeněk Svěrák, Jiří Šebánek, and Ladislav Smoljak, Cimrman is presented as a 19th and early 20th-century polymath: playwright, poet, inventor, philosopher, traveler, and more. Despite his nonexistence, he has become a national symbol in the Czech Republic, so much so that in 2005 he won a popular vote to be named "The Greatest Czech," although he was disqualified for being fictional. The Jára Cimrman Theatre in Žižkov, Prague, is the epicenter of his legacy, where plays attributed to him are performed, combining fictional lectures and theatrical performances. Cool place. Tower with nice view, small muzeum with Old and interesting stuff. Playground, restaurant, friendly sheeps which you can you feed with some grass. There's path around the object with lot of interesting and original elements to watch and to use (different play elements for kids, bit unusual in a positive way), good place to relax and stay...

Muzeum je velice pěkně zpracované, paní u vstupenek byla moc milá a mohl jsem si u ní odložit i přilbu.

Muzeum pod majákem je první oficiální muzeum českého génia a dobrodruha Járy Cimrmana. Slavnostní otevření proběhlo v létě roku 2013 v areálu U Čápa. Expozice zahrnuje značnou část pozůstalosti Járy Cimrmana, která byla dosud přechovávána v depozitářích společnosti a divadla JDC v Praze. Významná část sbírek byla také nově získána díky občanům z Pojizeří a širokého okolí, kteří darovali množství autentických památek na pobyt génia na Liptákovsku. Podle výpovědí pamětníků Cimrman během svých toulek liptákovským okolím pomýšlel na vztyčení „věže, ne nepodobné té pařížské“.
