Rostejn is the Czech way to write Rosenstein, as this hunting castle was originally owned by an Austrian family. The remarkable thing about this castle is that it is built upon a rock in such a way that the rock becomes part of the castle, even on the inside (such as the staircase) the rocks stick out of the wall. You can go on a guided tour through the halls, which is very interesting. The guide speaks Czech only, but there are audiotours available in German and English as well. Climbing the tower also gives you very nice views of the surroundings. The hunting exhibition is only interesting for people who are interested in that subject. Read moreThis was a beautiful Castle. It was a little smaller compared to the other castles in Czech, but the view is beautiful and well worth it from the top. There are 2 tours you can take, the tower and the castle tour. The castle tour was very nice. You won't like the tower tour if you don't like stairs, but if you can do stairs do the tour. Water and beer are a little more expensive but it's Czech so it's still cheap in the grand scheme. Definitely a second day...
