An impressive bit of architecture. There's a cafe and restaurant inside. For the latter the smells don't exactly invite you to stay. In August there was also a cafe booth set up outside, as well as an ice cream cart. We visited on Saturday and it was rather crowded. There are multiple parkings on the road there, so you can choose how far you want to hike. From the upper hill parking it's just around a quarter of a walk. In August 2024 the price of that parking was 200 czk for a car. There wasn't a problem with available space there. There's also a city bus going all the way to that parking lot. The views are absolutely fabulous.

The hotel is a great piece of architecture, you can tell it was built in the 70s. The atmosphere is right there and I enjoyed every second of it. But Ješted isn’t only the hotel, it’s a great view spot. You can easily see the whole city. The panorama is just gorgous no matter where you stand. And the line ride is quite fun! Remember if you have an Euro-Nysa ticket you can get a discounted ticket for the line ride :)

Der Jeschken ist ein absolut atemberaubendes Naturwunder. Der höchste Berg der Tschechischen Republik bietet eine unglaubliche Aussicht auf die umliegenden Berge und Täler und ist ein Muss für jeden Wanderer oder Bergsteiger. Die Wanderwege sind gut markiert und es gibt verschiedene Schwierigkeitsgrade, sodass für jeden etwas dabei ist. Auch für Familien mit Kindern ist der Jeschken geeignet, da es viele familienfreundliche Routen gibt. Ein weiteres Highlight des Jeschken ist die Jeschken-Seilbahn, die den Besuchern einen bequemen und schnellen Zugang zum Gipfel bietet. Die Aussicht von der Seilbahn ist atemberaubend und es ist ein unvergessliches Erlebnis, den Berg auf diese Weise zu erkunden. Es gibt auch mehrere Restaurants und Cafés auf dem Berg, die köstliche lokale Gerichte anbieten. Die Preise sind angemessen und die Qualität des Essens ist ausgezeichnet. Alles in allem ist der Jeschken ein unvergesslicher Ort und ein absolutes Highlight für jeden, der die Schönheit der Natur liebt. Ich kann den Jeschken jedem empfehlen, der die Tschechische Republik besucht, und ich werde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen, um diesen wunderschönen Berg erneut zu erleben.

Pretty good ski area with lots of classes for beginners. Several lifts with a variety of trails for skiers and snow boarders. The highlight of our time here was a walk down the mountain after a heavy snow the day before. We were occasionally surprised by very skilled snow boarders off the trails coming flying last us. Traffic and parking can be an issue so arrive early if possible.

Leuk uitstapje met een panorama uitzicht over de omgeving. We wilden eigenlijk met de kabelbaan omhoog en met steps terug naar beneden, maar beide opties waren (voorlopig) gesloten. De kabelbaan is gesloten vanwege een noodgeval staat op de website vermeld. De steps weten we niet. Het was een zoektocht waar we onze auto konden parkeren. Uiteindelijk zijn we tot de laatste parkeerplaats gereden op de berg, naar de parkeerplaats “Jêstêd Upper Hill Parking”. Hier betaalde wij 200 CZK per dag / €9 per dag. Je kunt hier overigens alleen met cash betalen dus niet met pinpas of creditcard. Er is ook een optie om nóg verder te rijden dan deze parkeerplaats. Daarbij kan je de auto parkeren naast de toren. Dit is 250 CZK voor de auto en 150 CZK voor de motor. Vanaf de parkeerplaats waar wij de auto hadden neergezet was het nog ongeveer 600 meter lopen. Het is iets steil omhoog, maar op asfalt. Dat is goed te doen. Je wordt beloond met een prachtig uitzicht en een kraampje om eten en drinken te kopen dat je kan nuttigen aan een picknicktafel. Hier hebben wij ons een uur kunnen vermaken. Ook vanwege het lekkere weer. Aanrader dus!

The place and the views are amazing, but I think they lost theyre intrest in making this a good restaurant because they know that people will still come here. English menu wasn't in english. Pancakes and strudel was cold and not that good. Even coffee was cold when they brought it... Plus every dish was brought by a different waiter. Still have no idea who is our waiter...

Description
Ještěd is the highest mountain of the Ještěd–Kozákov Ridge in the north of the Czech Republic, at 1,012 m. It is the symbol of the city of Liberec. On the summit is the Ještěd Tower restaurant, hotel and television tower, designed by Karel Hubáček, accessible by road or cable car. The mountain also has a ski resort.
