Portmoneum — Attraction in okres Svitavy

Pokud máte v oblibě umělecko-historické pozurohodnosti (či dokonce bizarnosti), nezapomeňte navštívit Portmoneum - velmi osobitý prostor dokreslující celkovou atmosféru nádherného města Litomyšl.

Stálá výstava mapuje mnoho různých výtvarných technik, kterými se malíř, grafik, dřevorytec a spisovatel Josef Váchal zabýval. Základem celé expozice jsou dvě místnosti nástěnných maleb, doplněné původním vyřezávaným polychromovaným nábytkem. Výstavu doprovázejí ukázky z drobných grafických prací J. Váchala v podobě ex-libris, mystických vykládacích karet a kreseb. Složité vztahy mezi Josefem Váchalem – malířem a Josefem Portmanem – zakladatelem musea a sběratelem dokumentují panely s korespondencí a fotografiemi obou pánů. Poslední část výstavy je zaměřena na problematické restaurování maleb, jejich snímání a následné osazení na opravené zdi.

The permanent exhibition maps many different art techniques, such as the painter, graphic artist, woodcutter and writer Josef Váchal. The base of the whole exhibition is two rooms of wall paintings, complemented by original carved polychrome furniture. The exhibition is accompanied by examples of small graphic works by J. Váchal in the form of ex-libris, mystical unloading cards and drawings. The complex relations between Josef Váchal - the painter and Josef Portman - the founder of the museum and the collector are documented by correspondence panels and photographs of both masters.
