Last time I was there, their go-cart staff was rude, and the carts were poorly maintained, running unevenly. Mine even started running so slowly that by the end, I could barely make it to the line which the staff member was insisting and even yelling at me to park at because I was taking that extra 10 seconds through no fault of my own. And you're not even allowed to race anymore, the times before, all 4 people on the racetrack started at the same time and there was a guy with the original 3 flags to signal how many laps were left, last time, that just wasn't the case, the guy was rude, he insisted on making us drive one by one so that there was a quarter of the track between each racer, it killed the fun entirely.
The zoo area is a nightmare, the donkeys had been spat on by guests and staff apologized that the guinea pigs had been killed by the next door farmer's dogs overnight. The animals were rather stressed, the birds were in cages far too small as well.
The roller coaster is a blast from the past, it's older than I am, running on manpower, that's right, it's actually quite amusing to try once, like the feeling of getting to mess with an old typewriter. One difference between a typewriter and this ride, is that the typewriter does not hurt your back at every bump and turn it through after you've dragged it to the beginning on your own. The carousel is also running on manpower, once you get someone to willingly run it for everyone, it's actually very awesome, if the park isn't packed, forget about getting that experience though.
The entrance fee is too much, you're paying for the water park to run, but during the time the water is actually hot enough, it is so packed with people that you can't enjoy the water rides without being stuck in a crowd the entire time, forget about actually having enough space to swim from one edge to the other, and it is far smaller than what the picture looks like.
Comparing price to both quality, maintenance and fun, you do not get what you pay for and I wonder who's simply stashing the money or doesn't know how to...

Dangerous waterpark slides have sharpedged Cracks! Wooden climbing frames are broken and dangerous ... Suspension bridges are rusted through. case nets moored with cable ties .. The park can ruin the holiday!

Laat me beginnen met wat we super vonden. Nergens vind je nog een pretpark dat zoveel nostalgie uitstraalt voor volwassenen én tegelijk super plezant blijft voor kinderen vandaag. Eenvoudige maar superleuke attracties, zonder begeleiding maar net dat maakt het ook spannend en leuk. Hoewel vele attracties oud zijn, hebben we ons nooit onveilig gevoeld.
Ironisch genoeg is het net de nieuwste attractie in het waterpark die ons een bijzonder onveilig gevoel heeft gegeven - niet voor de kinderen maar wel voor ons, volwassen personen.
De nieuwe (dubbele) glijbaan heeft een diameter van slecht circa 70cm, waardoor je er als volwassen persoon enkel plat op de rug gebruik van kan maken (anders bots je met hoofd tegen bovenkant). Dat staat weliswaar éenmaal in het Deens en Engels aangeduid langs de trap naar boven, maar tegelijk staan er ook borden waar mensen gevraagd worden om ofwel zittend ofwel liggend af te dalen (ook bovenaan aan de ingang van de glijbaan - zie foto). Het gevaar schuilt hem in de afwisseling van gesloten en open delen tijdens het parcours. Wie in een reflex (bijvoorbeeld omdat het op de rug verschrikkelijk snel gaat) recht komt te zitten, knalt met zijn voorhoofd tegen de bovenrand van het volgende gesloten stuk glijbaan.
Bij navraag bij de redder of deze gevaarlijke toestand gekend was, kregen we bevestiging. Er bleek diezelfde dag een volwassen persoon effectief hierdoor gewond geraakt te zijn aan het hoofd en werd een ambulance gebeld. De redder gaf ook aan dat de eigenaar zich bewust was van het gevaar. We begrijpen eigenlijk niet hoe deze glijbaan met dergelijk inherent risico op hoofdletsels voor personen groter dan 160cm kan zijn goedgekeurd door de technische controle. Met de snelheden die je er liggend haalt, is het wachten op fatale ongelukken bij onoplettende volwassenen of bij mensen die in paniek geraken door de snelheid die je liggend bereikt.
Hopelijk wordt er wat aan gedaan vooraleer het iemand zijn kop kost. Tijdelijk sluiten of verbieden voor mensen onder de 160cm lijkt ons logische stap - zeker na zo'n ongeval.
Jammere vaststelling op een voorts fijne en zeker 4-sterren waardige uitstap, maar we moeten bij zulk frappant veiligheidsrisico met die ene ster de nodige...
