Gisselfeld is best described as "hyggeligt". The castle is beautiful, although, not as striking as the others I have seen around Denmark. It is not open for public. You'll only get to enter the old stables. But the place boasts a vast land estate offering a beautiful landscape featuring barren hills, wheat fields, lush forest and beautiful gardens. It is very nice to walk around. The Parade House is worth a visit with its selection of unique and rustic looking vases, ornamental plants, garden decors, etc.. Adjacent is a cafe where you can buy snacks and souvenirs. All in all, it's a OK place to take beautiful photos and do nature walk. But other than that, there's nothing else to do. We went there on a summer day and were surprised to see not so...

Smukt lille slot, fantastisk park.

Unique monastery and beautiful surroundings! However, the entry ticket is unfortunately waaaaay to expensive.

The reason why we haven’t been there more than ones is solely because of the price. I know there are maintenance costs, but keeping the prices that high also lowers the amount of visitors and in the end the income...

Very special beautiful sight. Very well maintained. Absolutely worth to visit. The greenhouse and Orangerie are amazing. The food is delicious tasty. Take a look at the Boutique too. All pieces collected and decorated with love. This place is magic. And have a chat with the soul of this beautiful Orangerie, he is very special.
