Such an amazing place and experience in this Open Air museum. Even though it is "similar" to some other alike museums in Denmark, the experience of stepping into the Hall and picture how it would look like centuries ago is incredible. I truly believe that it should be a must visit if you are staying for a couple of weeks in Danmark.

The guides are super helpful and don't forget to ask them to introduce you to the Hall and how it was "rebuilt" following the remains of the original hall. So many stories and cool information they...

Walk into the Viking and pre-Viking eras in this living history museum. The Kings Hall is a tour de force, with beautiful carvings, amazing doors, authentic hardware, and a wonderful and knowledgeable staff. The grounds abound with many stops, including stone boat reproductions and active iron working, farming, textile and pottery spots. Well worth...

A fascinating archeological recreation of the history of the area including the vikings / steel age, iron age and stone age living. The King's Hall is the main attraction which is a wonder of architecture, artisanal craftsmanship, and reimagination. Easily spend the whole day here and have lunch there too.
