Viking Museum in Lejre | The Cradle of the Kingdom — Attraction in Lejre Kommune

This little museum is situated in some beautiful countryside and the the small artefacts displayed are all exquisite. Small parts of brooches and keys and the only ever found statue of Odin. It's very tiny but all the more amazing to have been found in such good shape. A worthy place to aim your cycle tour towards or go for a walk to some top historic burial sights and enjoy the Danish landscape. Very good customer service and guided tour. Seeing the archeology close up is a real privilige, while listening to the interestingly presented history of a very important place in Denmark's history, maybe the most important. As The staff are really knowledgeable and good at bringing the history to life.

loved the place, but the transport there efter taking the train from CPH, was walking 20 min one way or taking a bus depending on the time of the day or a taxi, which is not common.
