St Birgitte Convent in Maribo was originally established in 1416, by the Founder herself St Birgitte, like Vadstena in Sweden. There were monks and religious sisters in this Kloster having separate divisions but praying together. Due to the influence of the reformer Martin Luther, the monastery came to an end in 1588. Due to the reestablishment of the Birgitte Order in the twentieth century by St Elizabeth another profound religiously driven person, the convent at Maribo was reestablished by the Birgitte order. Now they serve the community with prayer, councilling and hospitality. Their guest house is a well known for it's hospitality and tasty food. The chapel is well furnished and people can cone, stay here and spiritually nourish themselves. I enjoyed very much the spiritual ambience and the hospitality of the sisters. Literally asked the nuns about a friends homeless situation with a citizen of Denmark too especially this citizen of Denmark thought the nuns should be able to help the homeless. Their answer to us about the homeless is that there is literally no possibilities and nothing they can do for homeless as nuns.
These nuns are fake catholics that turn their cheek away from God. They only care if you have money here.

Et skønt område med masser natur og muligheder for afslapning.
Jeg benyttede blandt andet dagene til gåture i området, morgendukkert ved den nært ved beliggende sø samt besøg i Domkirken og på lokalmuseet.
Med halvpension kan du forvente husmandskost i pæne mængder. Ikke luksus, men svarende til prisen som er yderst rimelig!
Værelserne er pæne, minimalistisk indrettet.
