This is a good place to take your kids. Lots to see and very easy to get around if you have a stroller. Once you paid to go in there is nothing else to play for. You can bring your own food and drinks to the park. There are places you can picnic on bench and table. If you don't want to bring stuff you can just buy food. Price isn't that overpriced. If you go to this zoo you must try the tree bridges. So much fun to be high in the trees. I put a pic in this post. The one thing I didn't like is there was no baby room or nursery. If you don't know what that is. It's a quite room where you can go and breastfeed or bottle feed. Change your baby and heat your food or bottle. It's a miniature nursery type room. Hopefully they will make one at this park. Most parks in Denmark have them. That is why we where surprise they didn't.

WOW, ein wahnsinnig toller Zoo in Odense mit allem drum und dran. Er ist nicht allzu groß, aber auch nicht zu klein. Aber von vorne... DER PARKPLATZ befindet sich genau gegenüber und ist im Preis für 5 Stunden inklusive. Nur die Parkscheibe reinlegen. Wir waren ungefähr 6 Stunden im Zoo, mussten aber nichts an Strafe zahlen. DER EINTRITTSPREIS ist gerechtfertigt. Wir haben für 2x Erwachsene und 2x Kinder rund 83 Euro gezahlt. Das mag zum Anfang viel erscheinen, aber zum Schluss völlig gerechtfertigt. DER ZOO ist sehr gut ausgeschildert, sauber und durchdacht gestaltet. Wir haben bisher noch keinen Zoo erlebt, in dem man den Tieren so nah ist wie hier. Das tolle an diesem Zoo ist, dass Kinderwagen, Bollerwagen und Co. in die meisten Gehege mitkommen dürfen. Also, kein nerviges zurückgehen mehr, um dann das Gepäck nachzuholen, oder getrennt in die einzelnen Gehege gehen zu müssen. Auch sind die Wege alle Behindertengerecht gestaltet, so dass auch Personen mit Handicap sehr gut durch den Zoo kommen. DIE GEHEGE sind sauber und in unseren Augen liebevoll für die Tiere gestaltet. Natürlich könnte alles viel größer sein, und wir sind in solchen Dingen keine Experten, aber hier hat man den Eindruck, daß alles stimmig ist. Die Tiere fühlen sich wohl. Die Gestaltung ist der Natur nachgebildet und so hat man das Gefühl inmitten des jeweiligen Landes zu sein. DIE VERPFLEGUNG haben wir in unserem Fall selbst mitgebracht. Dänemark ist für uns schon teuer und der Zoo legt quasi mit dem Nebengeschäft noch einen kleinen Teil oben drauf. Beschweren tun wir uns nicht, denn das wussten wir durch andere Zoobesuche bereits. Auch der Shop am Ausgang lädt zu exorbitanten Geldausgeben ein. Hier muss jeder für sich selbst entscheiden was machbar ist und was nicht. Aber beschweren, bitte nicht. DAZU SEI NOCH ANGEMERKT: Überall im Park sind Tische und Bänke aufgestellt, die jeden einladen dort zu speisen, also überall ein Picknick machen, wo man möchte. UNSER FAZIT lässt sich mit einem Wort beschreiben: WOW! Hier ist man den Tieren so nah, dass der Besuch zu einem tollen Erlebnis für Groß und Klein wird und nicht in Vergessenheit gerät. Wir hätten noch viele weitere Stunden hier bleiben können. Die Kinder gucken, toben, spielen, sind fasziniert von den vielen tollen Eindrücken. EIN MUSS für jeden Zoo Fan!!

Great family experience! Have never been this close to animals in a zoo. Although you could question whether that's a good thing for the animals inside. But they also had places where they could rest from the crowd. Enclosures are well kept and there are lots of areas and playgrounds for children. Changing facilities for baby's were also easy to find. We have 2 zoos in the city I'm from but this was still worth a visit. Felt more like a mix of zoo and theme park which we liked. Unfortunately the treetop walk was not accessible for little children due to safety reasons. They have petting zoo and at least two enclosures where you can walk through. If you hesitate, go there!

Truly amazing experience, we went when the whole area was covered in snow and had a grand time with the kids. Seeing these animals in the snow was an experience I've never had before so it was a great day out. The zoo itself is bigger than you'd think with a large variety of animals. It took us around 3 hours to get through every section which I felt was phenomenal value. The kids had a great time, the adults had a great time and the animals looked like they were having a good time also. In all, book a day online and enjoy yourselves. Also the gift shop is reasonably priced aswell.

Small zoo with a lot of cool programs! tiger feedings and training hour is pretty rad, though good luck getting a good view (unless you are 3m tall) ;) the turtle house is phenomenal! ahh, such cool tortoises! the lemur house and aviary are also quite exciting. they do not offer turtle rides, however, nor do they sell the lion meat after dissection - both of which are terrible financial decisions on their part. great playground and petting zoo for the kids! lots of adorable goats to cuddle and squeeze to your heart's content. close to the train station and easy to find.

ZOO in Odense is a real disappointment:/ In general it is just paid playground and chill out areas for people. Animals don't seem to be important here. If you are lucky to see any animals, they live in very small areas. Hardly enough space to walk around. They look sad, no energy. Fences secured by electricity wires. Some animals are difficult to find/see as they are far away from walking path. The only highlights are pinguins, monkeys and turtles. Waste of money to go there, better to choose Givskud ZOO.
