What a surprising place, we visited as a group on a last minute suggestion of "where shall we go". And it was fantastic.

A rather ecclectic mix of things with the chalk mines and cold war exhibition, but it kept my son very entertained for a number of hours! And it was fascinating to show/teach him about the differences between east/west during the cold war.

We were lucky enough to spot a couple of bats in the mind, and see the natural springs.

The lady who worked there was so helpful, and some excellent English, along with providing audio tours in English (and German) which they only...

Super cool manmade limestone caves/mines. Very cold under ground, even in the summer time so bring a sweater 😄 Beautiful surroundings, the museum attached to the mines is placed in the middle of beautiful, green, lushious hills and the mines are close to the most beautiful and fairytale like forrests. The tour in the mines was fine, a lot of history on the place but I would prefer looking around on my own...
