Tranquil desolate castle gardens with view of magestic castle and associated little historic town boasting a historic architectured restaurant too. My visit was on a winter's day made for a different experience with remnants of snow on the frozen lakes where ducks and swans were walking on water (ice). I would have been wiser had I worn durable waterproof shoes or gumboots :-) - will do so on my next visit when I will also bring my dogs on leads ... I completed my visit with a drive past the matching historic village...

I was very impressed by the park surrounding the castle. Great for a walk or a pick nick, I believe great for kids to play around. My experience was that the park was very clean and well maintained, with the grass cut and with Gardners all around. I loved it and it felt magical to be sitting in such a beautiful park. I highly...
