A gem in an otherwise sleepy town. This place is great. It is on the smaller side for a Zoo but perfect for kids. They have nice facilities for the animals and the whole place has a great atmosphere. The workers are nice and happy to answer questions. The food was surprisingly good for the standard Zoo food (fries and nuggets type meals). I would highly recommend checking this place out if you are around.

Good day out for small kids even though there are not many animals. Kids enjoy feeding animals and various type of monkeys. Main attraction indeed for us is a monkey pair with small baby monkey just next to the play area and close watch of panthers is great watch. Also kids can have small ride on pony with small money.

Efter at jeg endelig fik tiden og muligheden til og besøge denne lille perle af en zoo, er jeg nu rigtig glad for at jeg gjorde det. Dette sted har en god vibe når man kommer ind og de har en masse dyr som man ikke kender. Ihvertfald når man taler om traditionelle dyr man ser i en zoo. De har mindre dyr, men stadigvæk mange forskellige arter der gør det rigtig hyggeligt. Fra forskellige gede og abe arter til jaguar. Alle dyrene ser ud til at blive passet rigtigt godt og dyrepasserne er altid flinke til en lille snak. Selve Skærup zoo er et must hvis man lige trænger til et hyggeligt sted. Jeg købte selv et års kort for at bare føle at jeg kunne give bare lidt igen til og vise at de har min støtte. Jeg har købt et årskort, så ja! Jeg vil vende tilbage når mulighederne åbner sig. 😀 Håber at i også prøver stedet og giver den en chance. 😊

Lovely, well maintained family run zoo. Clear entrance area and easy to follow path through the zoo. Plenty of greenery and a good variety of interesting animals. Gift shop and cafe. Lots of picnic areas with tables.

Dit is wel een dierentuin waar ik een zwak voor heb. Veel bijzondere dieren die je niet overal ziet en veel verblijven naast mekaar. Er zijn 2 speeltuintjes en de entree is gelijk ook restaurant en giftshop. Ook dat je al voor de ingang al langs verblijven loopt is aardig. Het is natuurlijk een kleine tuin. In één rondje ben je klaar. Met soms te kleine verblijven voor al die apen. Maar liever een grote troep apen. E Dan 3 in een enorm verblijf. De jaquar zit enorm groot. Wel jammer van al het gaas. Slecht voor de fotograaf. En de entreeprijs is laag voor Deense begrippen. Maar je krijgt enorm veel diersoorten voor deze prijs.

A small zoo, but it is pretty good. Watch out for the goats in the petting zoo when you enter with some pet food as they will basically attack you with cuddling and bashing demanding the snacks.
