🌴 Mero Beach, Dominica: A Unique Caribbean Experience! 🌊

Looking for an unforgettable beach day in Dominica? 🌞 Mero Beach offers soft black sand, a signature feature of this volcanic island, and warm, inviting waters—even in January!

While the shoreline can be a bit tricky to navigate, it’s absolutely worth it once you’re in. For just $29 per person, we enjoyed round-trip transportation from the cruise ship in an air-conditioned van—a scenic 30-minute drive each way.

Once there, we snagged two comfy beach chairs and an umbrella for only $20, which also included WiFi (perfect for uploading those beach selfies 📸). Hungry? Delicious local food was available for purchase right on the beach.

Mero Beach combines natural beauty with a relaxed vibe, making it the perfect stop for any Caribbean adventure! 🏝️

Great beach! Tight parking, and one way through town. Once there we were greeted by a man who ushered us to chairs under a covering, and for $10ec per person, he brushed them off & positioned them and raked around the area. He also claimed there was free wifi but it didn't work (he really wanted it to work- maybe it was a bad wifi day?) Another man approached us about his table of goods but wasn't pushy. We snagged a fruit platter from him later and it was amazing. The beach itself has quite a dropoff into the surf, and the waves pull and push quite a bit, but once you adjust it's quite nice. Very easy to float on the water here. It seems like the north end might have some snorkeling but it was stirred up when we went and not visible. We went on a non-cruise day and had it to ourselves. The next day we drove by and could barely get through town/ the beach was relatively packed...

Mero Beach in Dominica is a beautiful quiet beach. I’m from Florida so know the best sun is early morning or early evening to keep from burning. Early morning is also great for having the beach practically to yourself. We went mid November. Bar La Plage was our go to place for our chairs, wonderful fresh squeezed juice and water. Not to mention they were so helpful and would do anything they could to ensure your time there was awesome. Even their dog was especially sweet! I highly recommend finding them when you’re there! Great people!! Local ambience makes for a great experience! Thanks for the opportunity to meet you and share our time with you 🥰!! Hope to see you...

Mero Beach was my favourite place. Not just because of the beautiful clean sandy beach, warm sea, and amazing sunsets. The local people were so welcoming and friendly. Coming from London, it blew my mind, how open and warm they were toward me and my brother, even though they'd just met us. This was the most attractive aspect of Mero Beach. We had some great local fresh fish with yams and plantain. Whilst we hung out at the paradise juice bar.
