Turning in R.D. This time we visited Los Patos spa, which has the Los Patos River and Los Patos de Barahona Beach in the Southern Zone of the Dominican Republic. A tourist, family place where you can enjoy the fresh water of the river in the same place, and the waters of the beach, being next to each other, within walking distance with only a few steps. Enjoy the attention and kindness of the locals, and try the great variety of culinary dishes, the rich and delicious typical national food of the area such as fish and seafood, rice, bananas and others.

Girando in R.D. #GirandoenRd #dominicanrepublic #3men2bellaco #barahona #barahonadominicanrepublic #playasdominicanas #playalospatos...

Nice beach with beautiful waves to lie / rest on the gravel beach ... but dangerous current in sea - be very very carefully to decide swimming there !!! Only two hotels available there with really good quality of service for this amount of money which You have to pay. But very bad possibility to find good restaurant there with taste food ... one "restaurant" on main road let you waiting even over one hour for poor variety/ selection of food there ... and a few "restaurants" - kiosks near river will charge You a lot for nothing on the plate - prices like in Santo Domingo !!! with very poor hygiene and small portions ... a lot of stray dogs and cats around Good to try this exciting waves on the beach but that is all what is You can find there ... Hotels had theirs own generators then You got eletricity in room when are very often there power cuts ... Mixed feelings from there ... definitely I will come back for exceptional sea and waves but is probably worthy to take accommodation somewhere near with...

I have been going to this place for over 40 years love the place but was never so disappointed as I was today, it's not posible that you spent an average of $80 for 2 people for a bear and appetizer but that is not even the worse part, you need to pay for the public parking this business do pretty good with their sales but they are not trying to better the place today fir instance it was almost impossible to put there with the mosquitoes infestation at the place I must hot about 30 mosquitoes bites it's simple poor management of the place I honestly don't mind the very over price food but Jesus! Take care of the place invest some of that dam money on repellant. Not a good time and until they get rid of that infestation I don't think I will be back anytime soon. Food was good, the servers are great and tge water was...

This is a very interesting place because it's a small river that leads directly to the ocean. The water in the river is very cold, like ice water cold. It was mostly Dominican people there when I was there and they were going completely under the water. There is no entrance fee but there's parking for $RD 50 or $RD 100. There are several restaurants that seem to sell the same things which are mostly fish and sea food but there's also chicken. The prices for food are slightly high compared to eating somewhere else in the DR that isn't touristy, about $RD 200 per person. The water is refreshing next to the hot sun and there's an area with lots of colorful and pretty rocks. The actual beach is all rocks and the waves are very large.
