My emails are being ignored, and very valid complaints are being dismissed by this company. We traveled to Punta Cana for New Years in early Jan 2025. We stayed at the Waterfront TRS Cap Cana. We were sold this excursion of Ziplining and Monkeyland for $400 for 2 at the resort. We were also sold expensive tickets to a awesome Cabaret show through our hotel on the same night at 7pm, which was 30 mins from our hotel. We were promised to be back to our hotel by 5pm that night by Zip Lines Adventures by Runners Adventures.
Have all the communication with their Rep, Henry on What's App. I expressed concern on the timing before booking, and ensured despite their promises of a 5pm return. I even stated no later that 6pm was a must, because I did the research on the travel time, and it seemed like it would be tight. Again, they promised.
While parts of the ALL DAY (10 hours) excursion were enjoyable. Half the day is spend sitting around in rooms, waiting for other tours to arrive. We sat in rooms for over a hour in the heat waiting for people to arrive so they can try to sell you merchandise, water and photos all day as a large group. These places are in the mountains over a hour away on a bus. At 530pm we were still sitting on a bus at Monkeyland waiting for other tours to finish before we could leave. I was messaging the rep the whole time explaining what was happening. and that clearly we were now going to miss our show that we were promised to be back for.
At 630PM they then started stopping at other resorts to drop other guests off, despite picking us up directly from our hotel to meet the groups earlier that day. I kept being "Assured" they would have us back before 7pm.. even though UBER clearly showed we were 45mins away from our resort WITHOUT the 3-4 more stops we clearly had to make with the other guests on the bus. They just keep "Bullshitting" us.
My Girlfriend was very upset. I had to make the decision to ask the bus driving to pull over, and we took a UBER from the Highway at a cost of $70 US to race us back to our hotel to change for the show, that had a dress code. Of course this costed us to miss the shuttle to our other event we were promised would not be a issue. We than had to take anther $50 UBER to race to our show that we ending up being a 40min late for.. (Which was a miracle. Tipped the UBER drivers to drive like the fast and furious)
I simply asked for some compensation from Zip Lines Adventures by Runners Adventures for the broken promises, and all the extra incurred costs that ruined the day. I have just been ignored by this company, despite showing all their reps messages telling us multiple times their promised timelines would be honored. They do not care once they have your money.
A very costly waste of a day on our otherwise beautiful trip....
Read moreSo after having this booked on a Friday, and contacting them, they told me a day before that it was cancelled due to lack of people and offered to change it to Monday, I agreed sent them my info and they sent me a message back confirming pickup at my hotel as shown in these screenshots. They then never showed up, I called Nadya Medrano, she claimed to have "never received my emails" then quickly offered to change it to Tuesday, I told her I couldn't do that because I had to get testing for my flight Wednesday. She said she couldn't do anything, so as a result I lost out on a excursion I paid for and planned my trip around, losing out on another part of my trip to accommodate the first cancellation they didn't tell me about until a day before the booking and ruining my trip. They had 2 days to let me know of any changes after my rescheduled booking, which i confirmed both in email and thru Expedia. Not to mention straight up lying on the phone of not receiving my emails if you didn't receive them how did you REPLY to them, she of course went back on this OBVIOUS lie less than 2 minutes later saying then that they "lost them" somehow. So now I get to spend my time with an Expedia agent to get a refund, too bad I can't get a refund on my rescheduled flight or extra days of hotel bookings from the original rescheduling, sorry this review is so long its my only outlet, it's been a difficult year and this trip was supposed to be a chance to recharge instead its become the worst...
Read moreThe ziplines are awesome. There are 12 lines 1 is a racing line. We added the monkeyland tour but didn't do the buggies, although we heard they were very fun. The guide Omado was great and knowledgeable. The whole staff at the place was awesome. You can tell everyone there loves what they do. The authe tic lunch is great and filling but light(fried chicken and a basted chicken with rice and beans and plantains). They have several shops and products made locally. Honey, sugar, coffee, cocoa, mama wanna, wine, and a few others I'm forgetting but all made locally. They also have convenience store items at shops-such as chips, ice cream, gum, candies, and sodas, all reasonably priced items for tour prices. It was a great adventure, I suggest bringing comfortable shoes, a hat, some water(although they do provide some) and an extra shirt because, well they are wildish monkeys. Very friendly and cute as hell. When they jump on your head be ready and don't freak out. It shocks you but it's not painful, just surprising. 100% worth it for the experience and awesome memories...
