IT'S A LONG ONE BUT A MUST READ!! We signed up for buggies, a cenote swim, man made waterfall swim and tour of a true Dominican village tour....Ok let me start this by saying we were told this excursion would be a 4 hour adventure from 10:30-2:30. We were picked up on time at 10:30... HOWEVER we didn't return to our hotel until 5:30! We were also told this was a cenote and was NOT MAN MADE & ONLY THE WATERFALL AREA WAS MAN MADE. We booked our excursion thru our airport transportation which was booked with our Delta vacation package. Either this gentleman was extremely misinformed or they are allowed to say whatever they'd like in order to sell the package. So on top of that let's dive in. If getting dirty isn't for you do not do not do not sign up for the buggies/Polaris part. We did the buggies they attempted to up sell us on arrival to upgrade to a Polaris for another $150 on top of the $270 we already paid for the excursion.. No thank you and I'm glad we didn't because the buggies were just as fun (in our opinion the buggies were the only fun part of this) you are only allowed to go so fast so the upgrade is NOT with it. After we checked in and turned down the upgrade we had to buy face covers(you will want to buy one if you don't bring one trust me along with sunglasses or goggles it's extremely dusty) then off we were to put our backpack in a locker we head to rent because you're not allowed to take bags, phones or go pros on the buggies which is when you will visit the blue lagoon if you have that portion included in your package. I however opted to still take my phone in a ziplock bag YOU WILL NEED IT TO PROTECT ANYTHING IMPORTANT. You will get very dirty.. So will the towel you bring with you I'd try to sit on it or put it behind you somehow if you want a simi clean one for when you're done. Then was waited... For a whole 40min almost before we even got started on the buggy rides... When you finally get into your buggies it's more waiting.. Waiting on ppl to get in waiting when they break down waiting around at every stop you make..... I'm sure your catching my point...again this was very much not at all in any way a cenote or natural lagoon that you visit why they ask you to rinse off before you enter it? I'm guessing is so it's less cleaning they have to do to the water lol. After 15 min of swimming in a dirty pool then you drive a bit more to look at how true Dominican villages are lol it's a walk thru of a few mini"houses" smh I got a better look at how they live on the drive to the location again a laugh. Next your all taken into a store where you try hot coco and coffee even tho at this point your covered in mudd and sweating you butt off but sure coffee and hot chocolate sounds great said NO ONE while the sips they give you are tasty it's not worth having to sit in uncomfortable nastiness.. Next back on the buggies again to finally go shower lol NOT they wanna talk more!!?? Nope we walked away from that speech we were stopped by a few ppl and I just shook my head and said I'm going to the bathroom I didn't care to hear anything anyone had to say I had to rinse off! I'm not a prissy princess but yo enough was enough so I have no idea what was said at that speech I was over the talks.. our son chose to jump in the other man made waterfall pool for about 5 min it was so murky you can miss the steps watch it..we had a traditional lunch after that which was pretty good or it was that we were just starving at that point we weren't sure lol. Then we headed back to guess what wait some more!! A whole 45 min almost before we finally headed back to our resort. This was a long read and if you stuck thru it just know I could of really went into detail of how bad this really was. It absolutely wasn't worth being gone from our resort all damn day! You live you learn... Let our experience be your learning lesson 😉

Was a good experience and had fun with my fiance. Did the horse back riding, dune buggys, lunch, cultural coffee/chocolate plantation and zip lining. The horse back riding was great and the horses were very well trained and friendly, everyone had fun. The dune buggys are slow and nothing special... you get super muddy/dirty so be prepared. The dune buggys could go faster and they make you go in single file so no messing around which sucks... I'd recommend doing the ATVs instead, as youd have more fun. The buggys were still fun and you stop at the beach to take a quick dip and get approached by many people trying to sell stuff. Also while on the buggys there are many local children waiting on the sides of the path to ask for money/water and makes you feel awful if you do not stop to give them anything... it's as if they set tourists up for this so you give them money which is very sad if you dont have anything to give. The ziplining is fun but be careful and pay attention when they tell you what to do as in stopping or breaking (I got rope burn badly by not breaking properly). At the ziplining place they performed first aid on me and everyone was very friendly and kind. You can pay for pictures but be prepared for the cost as it isn't cheap. The cultural stuff was brief and I learned a lot from our tour person who was amazing. All the above took from 9am to 6pm so be prepared for a long day as they tell you it's only 6 hours but it's really 8-9 hours. The food they served for lunch was amazing and I did not get sick. The drinks are not included and are pricey... a bottle of water was 2USD and a beer was 5USD. Overall a good day other than my rope burn but that was partially my fault.

By far the worst experience of an excursion I’ve ever had. Nothing like what was advertised. The UTVs were in the worst shape of any I’ve ever seen or ridden anywhere, with most having bald tires, 3/4 having significantly cambered rear wheels due to worn ball joints and wheel bearings, my UTVs seat had a broken adjustment lock so it would slam forward when braking and slam backwards when accelerating, door would not stay latched while driving, most have broken tail lights, was not given a drink with my paid for included lunch, our transportation back to the resort got forgotten and cancelled and then were stuck sitting outside in the lightning storm in pouring rain with my 6 month pregnant wife and when we asked to wait in the lobby they told us no and said we had to stand in the rain. Then the put us on an already packed bus with no more seats and made half the bus sit 2 people to a seat including me and my SIX MONTH PREGNANT wife who was made to sit on my lap. The bus driver then proceeded to leave the parking lot with a windshield that was so fogged up from the inside that you couldn’t see through it. When I asked for a refund, I was given the run around for 2 days and was told the best they could do was give me $100 back when I spent $505. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone even if the excursion was free. On top of that, a person died the week prior riding horses there after the company failed to call for medical attention. 10/10 terrible experience.

Our group of 5 adults came here for the buggy ride adventure and had a relatively good time. The buggies were $99 per rider or driver. $139 for Polaris. However, if you want the Polaris (like us), you really need to reserve well in advance. Otherwise, you will get stuck with the 2 or 4 seater buggies. The group we had was part of the 3 hour tour. We left the Catalonia at 8:20am and we returned approximately 3pm. Picking up and dropping off people at resorts takes a while. So plan to be flexible. Also, when they say NO Devices, they really mean it. The photo package was $140 USD! So expensive! But the convenience of not having to take your own photos is nice. But is it necessary to charge $140? Also they do have a water & restroom stop at the cenote which is nice. If you spend too much time eating lunch, then you might miss the waterfall...like we did. They try to keep the tour moving. Sadly, the guests don't always listen and cooperate. One irresponsible guest and his younger relative ran over a staff member's foot while he was helping the car in front of us. Everyone that saw yelled at the pair but they didn't seem to care. Sad. Another couple of women kept slowing down and then racing off in front of us. This made it difficult to see and breathe even with a gator, hat and glasses on. Don't swim with your gator on. It makes it harder to breathe through until it dries.

We stayed in Cap Cana and were looking for a place nearby to ride ATVs. Our hotel concierge recommended Bavaro Adventures Polaris tour. The tour was a little disappointing for two reasons: 1) Out of 4 or so hours that we stayed at the property, we did maybe 40 minutes of riding ATVs. 2) No one told us prior to the trip that we would not be able to take any cameras, backpacks, or even cell phones with us. I had to rent a locker to lock up approximately $6K of camera gear plus our cell phones that we could not use. They would not even allow a GoPro with a head or chest mount, which is designed for activities like this. They state it is a safety issue, and I agree, the person driving the ATV should not be operating a camera or take out their phone constantly, not only for safety reason but also so that you don’t hold up the group. But your passenger can! We went on a different ATV tour few days later and there was no issue with us using GoPros (head-mounted). This place has photographers staged at every turn and they want you to buy their pictures (we did not). So overall – this place is kinda meh, it was close to our hotel but not worth it for the price, IMO.

Absolutely thrilled with my experience at Bavaro Adventure Park! From start to finish, this park delivered an incredible adventure. The variety of activities available, from ziplining through the lush canopy to dune buggy rides through rugged terrain, kept the excitement going all day long. The friendly and knowledgeable staff ensured our safety while making sure we had an absolute blast. The attention to detail in recreating natural environments within the park was impressive. The caving expedition was like stepping into an underground world of wonder, and the ziplines offered breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes. The cultural elements woven into the experiences, like learning about local traditions and artistry, added depth to the adventure. Whether you're an adrenaline junkie or just looking to try something new, Bavaro Adventure Park has it all. The combination of heart-pounding activities and immersive cultural experiences made this day a highlight of my vacation. I can't recommend it enough for anyone visiting the Punta Cana area. It's an adventure lover's dream come true!
