Visiting this beach was probably the biggest highlight of our whole trip to the Dominican. The beach was amazing. Water is so clear and free of sea weed. The sand feels great to walk on and everything looks so beautiful. We came here on a speed boat and stopped at a sand bar very far out from the island and the water was only about waste deep. We attended Playa del Gato on the Amstar VIP trip. After questioning, we discovered it's not VIP. The beach was great, and we enjoyed it but felt scammed. Do not purchase the VIP Saona excursion from Amstar. There is no difference between the VIP priced and the regular priced excursion. Our tour guide Randy Rodriguez, Captain Gringo, Mario from Amstar were all unable to explain...
