Cueva Padre Nuestro — Attraction in La Hispaniola

Ventured to Cueva Padre Nuestro while on vacation at Casa de Campo with our 2 boys (8 and 9) and had the most amazing experience. Off the beaten path, but don’t give up on it! A local approached us near the entrance and said he would be our tour guide…communication was great and he was extremely knowledgeable of the area and very accommodating and helpful with our boys. Took us on a nice hike then down into the cave to swim. There were divers in the cave that helped to illuminate the water plus our guide had a light, it was truly magical. A very authentic...

Es un parque nacional que cuenta con cuatro cuevas. Para llegar debes de ir en un vehículo alto porque el camino es lodo y piedras, la entrada son 200 pesos por personas y no te ofrecen guia. Lo. Ideal es que vayas equipado con agua para beber y tenis. Llevar bañador porque al final del recorrido te puedes bañar en las dos ultimas cuevas. Cuando llegas a tu derecha enco traras la primera cueva que es l padre nuestro. Esta no es la de la foto! Es pequeña y puedes ir con niños. Luego a tu izquierda debers cominar (recomiendo ir en grupo) casi 1 kilómetro sobre piedra de arrecife, pasaras por varios puntos señalados que son plantas que tienen relacion cob los tainos, y llegaras a la primera cueva que no esta señalizada pero esta cercada y cerrada, es decir no tiene acceso ya que no la han habilitado, luego caminaras unos 30 minutos mas hasta llegar a las cuevas chicho 1 y chicho 2 las cuales son la atracción del parque. Der Eintritt von umgerechnet 4€ ist super günstig und die Leute vor Ort auch sehr nett. Vorneweg ist es empfehlenswert mit einem suv anzureisen, da der Weg sehr steinig und versehen mit Schlaglöchern ist. Als wir angekommen sind kam auch gleich ein Mann und stellte sich als unser Tour guide vor. Wir bekamen viele Pflanzen, Höhlen in denen man schwimmen kann und noch weiteres gezeigt und erklärt. Als wir dann fertig waren und ihn fragten was er von uns bekommt, dachten wir er will uns verarschen! Man muss dazu sagen, dass die Tour ungefähr 1,5- 2 Stunden dauert. Eiskalt meinte er, er bekomme jetzt 13.000 Pesos. Also umgerechnet ca. 230€. Das ist der Grund für die 2 Sterne. Wir haben ihn dann auf 2.000 Pesos runter gehandelt ( ca. 40€). Landschaft toll, aber die Leute vor Ort versuchen einen touri schon übers Ohr zu hauen.
