So first I'm gonna tell you about the downside. The beach isn't too clean, a part of the shore is literally covered in trash. There is no infrastructure other than the parking and the stairs leading down to the beach. There seems to be a bathroom facility near the parking but it looks forsaken. The stairs also miss a few steps in the end so you have to take a detour to the side to go all the way down.
And now the "hidden gem" part. If you actually go to the far right of the beach from the stairs (we had to cross a small part of the beach through the waves), you will find yourself in a tropical heaven. This corner of the beach is clean and you can find a dry spot on the rocks to bathe in the sun. Literally noone else was there during three hours we spent enjoying the ocean and the scenery. Amazing experience. I guess it won't work for everyone though given the downsides...

Paisaje único en la República Dominicana que combina flora, fauna, relieves y azul de manera espectacular.
A excepción de semana santa, se poco concurrida, perfecta para cualquier tipo de coros.
Para ser un monumento natural (Cabo Francés Viejo) está falta de cariño: La escalera de descenso a la playa desapareció antes de llegar abajo, no hay zafacones así que recoge tu desatre antes de largarte, tampoco tienen baño público, asegúrate de llegar con tu vida resuelta.
Fun fact. Hay un chorro de agua dulce que baja de la Montana donde puedes sacarte el agua salada.
Pendiente al entrar al agua, la playa es pedregosa.
Truco: hazte las fotos rompe ojo, y si lo tuyo es estar en el agua, visita otra playa, hay muchas...
