The Pozos Ecológicos de Romeo are a beautiful hidden gem located in the middle of nowhere, offering clear, clean, and refreshing water that’s perfect for a quick dip. It's surprisingly easy to get to from the main road, but you have to keep your eyes 👀 open because there's only a small sign marking the entrance. Unfortunately, one downside is the amount of garbage left behind by visitors, which takes away from the natural beauty of the place. With better care and more respect from visitors, this spot could truly shine.💦

Beautiful spot but be PREPARED. None of our group had the proper shoes or clothing for this. There are a few pools close to the road that you can swim in but the nicer ones are a little hike away through the desert. It’s about a 15-20 minute walk but the terrain is very sharp and uneven. You are walking on sharp coral, so make sure you have the right shoes and SUN PROTECTION. There are some pools that are almost impossible to get out of once you jump in so be smart and prepare how you are going to get back on dry land. Besides the precautions, the pools are refreshing...

It was sad to see. A place with a lot of potential, but it was filled with trash, a terrible smell, bugs, and even human feces in one of the smaller holes.
