Enjoyable Day at Amber Cove, Dominican Republic - Carnival Venezia.

Our recent visit to Amber Cove on the Carnival Venezia was a day full of exploration and discovery, thanks to our fantastic taxi driver who took us around the island. One of the highlights was our stop at Porta Pala where we visited the Amber Museum. Learning about the natural process of amber turning into fine jewelry was fascinating, and watching the cigar rolling process in the same shop was equally interesting. I ended up buying a necklace, bracelet, and ring for my guest, which were beautiful pieces of local craftsmanship.

We also visited several shops along our route, finding a variety of goods and souvenirs that were unique to the area. However, our lunch experience at the Swank VIP Tapas Bar didn't quite hit the mark. The wings and vegetables were decent, but another local dish we tried wasn't to my liking. Despite the mixed dining experience, the location was convenient for a walk to a public beach nearby, where we took some great photos to remember our trip.

Overall, the visit to Amber Cove was enjoyable and well worth the trip. The natural beauty and local culture were the highlights. While the restaurant didn’t impress, the overall experience was positive, and I would recommend exploring Amber Cove if you find yourself on a cruise that stops here. Just might want to consider different dining options!
