This place is more a big swimming pool for the locals and the normal people from Santo Domingo, because it's just 30 min far from there and a little bit outside of San Cristobal but easy to access. Visit this place during the week, you will find only kids and groups of teenagers. At the weekend it seems to be the water hell of anybody go to there. The big pools on different levels, the various places for eating and drinking and the everywhere placed very big loudspeakers will give you an idea, what the locals love and like: loud Merengue und Bachata music together with cool water and drinks of beer or Ron. The water is coming from the river nearby, but it's to near to the villages and cities, so the water is not very clean and maybe they need a lot of chlorine to keep it safe. If you look the nature and the landscape around you can imagine all the problem with the enivronment in the Domincan Republic, they are too rich for keep the nature clean! They need a sign with the age to pay and they need to return the money to enter if you don’t want to stay. Is disgusting in there to stay and eat, if the whole place look like that. A lot of threes looks few hundreds years old and the pool is actually a real river with fishes swimming with you! 🐟🌳🐠 Mostly there is all local: people, music, bar and food. Integration made between a tropical forest with mountain river and club construction is very nicely done. Although needs a maintenance and better care. Seems like it was fancy place in 80-90s.
