Isla Saona — Attraction in Saona Island

A MUST SEE AND DO SO YOU CAN BEALIVE THE BEAUTY OF THIS PLACE!!!!! So beautiful. Be careful of the sun. Use the almond oil so you wont burn (bought it on the beach for $5). We stayed at Iberostar in La Romana. We took a boat from our hotal to a catamaran that took us to Isla Saona. On the way there it rained so hard it hurt but we danced and drank and when we got to our little heaven of Isla Saona it was so sunny and so hot we got a phenomenal tan. The food was included into the price to visit Isla Saona from the shop on the beach outside our hotel ($50pp incl: food ride to and from Isla Saona). We stayed for 2-3hrs on our little heaven and then took a speed boat back to Iberostar in La Romana. We stopped at a spot between Isla Saona and La Romana where you are in the middle of the ocean but the water is upto ur hips (I'm 5ft 6in tall) so its really shallow water. beautiful clear waters, awesome tempature, local vendors are way to pushy; pictures, braids, massages ect. make sure you take a mini cooler with lots of ice and your rum mix, drinks get hot way to fast and your rum is only serve...

Sehr schöner Platz um Fotos für Social Media zu machen. Alle paar Meter stößt man am Strand auf einen Influencer. Leider sehr überfüllt mit Touristen. Empfehlenswert ist, sich in Bayahibe am Strand ein eigenes Boot zu mieten. Wir haben für ein “Mid-Size” Boot 325 Euro bezahlt. Das Boot hat theoretisch eine Kapazität bis 24 Personen. Der Preis ist Verhandlungssache. Die Touren, die ihr im Hotel oder bei Getyourguide, etc. bestellen könnt sind teilweise so voll, dass man sich an Bilder völlig überfüllter Flüchtlingsschiffe im Mittelmeer erinnert. Für mich ist das nicht erlebenswert. Nehmt euch ausreichend Getränke und etwas zu essen mit, dann steht einem tollen Aufenthalt...
