Durga Tekdi is a peaceful hilltop spot in Pimpri-Chinchwad, Pune, popular among locals for morning walks, jogging, and weekend outings. It is a well-maintained green space that provides a refreshing break from the city's hustle and bustle. One of the best aspects of Durga Tekdi is its lush greenery. The area is covered with a variety of trees, making it a great place for nature lovers. The fresh air and scenic views make it an excellent spot for exercise or simply unwinding. During the monsoon, the place becomes even more beautiful with vibrant green surroundings and cool weather. Durga Tekdi is easily accessible by road, with parking facilities available nearby. The walking trails are well-paved, making them suitable for all age groups. There are also benches and shaded areas for people who want to relax. However, there are no food stalls or major commercial facilities, so visitors should carry their own water and snacks. Early mornings and evenings are the best times to visit, as the weather is pleasant, and the sunrise/sunset views from the top are stunning. Weekends can be slightly crowded, but the place never feels too congested. One downside is the lack of proper dustbins, leading to occasional littering. Also, there are limited security arrangements, so visiting in groups is advisable, especially late in the evening. Durga Tekdi is a great place for fitness enthusiasts, families, and nature lovers. If you are looking for a peaceful escape within the city, this is a must-visit spot. Just ensure you carry essentials and maintain cleanliness to preserve its beauty.

At the entry of the path to durga tekdi there is parking which costs 20₹ for two-wheeler. At the entry there are some eating and other stuff purchase stalls, and 'Appu Ghar' is there too! Timings are morning 5-9 and then 11am-5pm. Eating stalls close by 11am. Entry fee is 10₹ per adult and 5₹ per child above 3years. You will have to walk all the way up, and it is very long 👣 Consider if you have kids, will they be able to walk too much 👨👨👦 Carry atleast a bottle of water. There were some tanks but it wasn't sure if that is drinking water or not 💧 I only found one washroom facility which was early on the path. Washroom facility was fine, not bad 🚽 Try to go early, as the time passes the crowd comes for spending time like picnic. You will also find young couples in some corners 😄 There is childrens play area along the way. The view from the top is good enough. There are multiple paths to the top, you can use your maps/GPS as the network is good all the way.

This is a wonderful place for a morning walk, and it’s perfect for starting your day on a peaceful note. The fresh air, quiet surroundings, and natural beauty make it an ideal spot to clear your mind and enjoy some quality time with nature. One of the best things about this place is the sunrise. Watching the sun come up here is truly magical the sky changes colors, and the calm atmosphere makes it a breathtaking experience. Whether you’re walking alone or with someone, it’s a great way to refresh your body and mind. The walking paths are well-maintained, and the area feels safe, even in the early hours. You can hear birds chirping and feel the gentle morning breeze, which adds to the charm. It’s a spot where you can exercise, meditate, or just take a slow walk and enjoy the beauty around you. If you’re looking for a peaceful escape from the busy city life or a place to kickstart your day with positive energy, this is definitely the place to go.

Durga Tekadi is a small hill 1 km from Bhakti Shakti park, Nigadi Pune. It is a well maintained hill forest with big natural pond at the base of it having family of Swans swimming with attitude . The security don't allow any kind of use n throw plastic material inside this hill forest. You can take your Tiffin boxes but not plastic water bottles . From bottom a sleek tar road takes you to peak and it takes 30-40 min by walk .In between there is small Goddess Durga temple giving divine vibes. I wish they had some snack center on this hill way. 10 rs nominal entry fees they charge but there is no facility to pay online. You must not miss the beautiful sunset view from the top especially in winters. The place is calm and beautiful. You must add this soulful experience in your Pune trip.

I visited this place for the first time and had peaceful and happy time spent with my husband. It has park with swings for children and drinking water and toilet facility. Also visited the durga mata mandir which looks ancient and peaceful. The hill is quite huge and is basically a trekking area clean and green. Littering is discouraged here on a serious note so please don’t carry any waste or dump it inside the premise.

Beautiful location away from city hustle. Worth spending 2+ hours within the calmness of nature. Beautiful birds could be spotted singing, peacocks could easily be found during morning & evening. The pond, footpath, trees ... everything is well situated, trek is extremely easy. Nice view of the city could be seen from the top of the plateau.
