BEWARE OF BECKY NANCY (thats what the park officer said her name was). Needs better park supervisor. I have been here with my family on multiple occasions. Drove right in, no issues. Went there this afternoon with my family, and 2 vehicles blocked the entrance. One car was actually facing towards me. No one was moving for about 10 minutes, so I backed up and went through the exit. I did not want to honk as it was quiet and everyone was with their families. Once I parked, a park officer raced upto my vehicle. I put down my window and she just started to yell. She yelled that we were not suppose to back up and go around and that I am suppose to check in. As I said before, I came here multiple times without having to check in. Anyways, I explained to her that there 2 cars blocking the entrance and one was actually on the wrong side. She yelled I don't care and that she can give me a ticket. I asked her if she heard what I just said and she yelled, "you know what, you can get out of my park". I asked her for a supervisor or manager and she said she was the supervisor. After the yelling I reversed and proceeded to the front. I parked in front to speak to someone, Becky followed and came walking quickly to my vehicle. Her lip twitching, yelled at me to move to the stop sign and to get the he'll out of her park. Parked at the stop sign and tried to get a hold of long point converservation authority with luck. Becky needs to learn how better to deal with people. I was with my family and it was totally uncalled for. I was the only person of colour there and hope it was not a colour issue. Situation could have been handled way better. From me to explaining what happened to Becky going on a power trip. Just awful. Park is beautiful, BUT...

This is not a friendly place, we got a seasonal here and we brought our golden lace polish hen. She is domesticated and a service animal whom lives with us in our house. She has her own bed and romes around freely in the house. She would not leave our site and she is very well trained. The park supervisor Becky came over and told us that she could not be here and that we should have read the handbook and it says she cant be. I have read the handbook and it does not say anything like that. On page 7, 2.18, it says that the maximum of domesticated pets are 3. No where does it say anything about what kind of domesticated pets are allowed. We asked if we could put her in our trailer till we leave the next day and we would not bring her out till we leave, to compromise with Becky. She told us no and that we had to take her out right now, rudely and was quite demanding. We also told her that she helps calm down our daughters in laws anxiety and she said she doesn’t care and even if we had the paper to prove she was that she would not even let her come. She did not care what kind of paperwork we had, legally she can not refuse a service animal. This park needs a supervisor that has compassion and understanding, and someone who has better hospitality and compassion. We were treated poorly and unfairly even though we tried to compromise and did abide by all their laws for the campground. This woman made us feel horrible and I can only imagine how she treats other people. Very, VERY disrespectful and not a great place to stay, especially if you need accommodations...

Had a fantastic weekend at Deer Creek Conservation Park. The campsite is small and the facilities are basic, but it has what you need for a good trip. Washrooms and shower facilities were clean and they also have vault toilets at the top of the boat ramp. The park is open for day use as well as overnight camping and there are some seasonal camping spots (not sure about availability).

The people at the front gate were super friendly and got me checked in quickly. Firewood was delivered to my camp promptly and they even lent me an adapter plug to connect my extension cord to the outlet post (needed a 30amp to 15amp adapter plug which I didn’t have on me).

The boat ramp is fairly steep but straight and the launch is simple for kayaks. The lake itself is plentiful with inlets and interesting structure for holding fish. There are sunfish and panfish a plenty almost everywhere and the lake drops to a decent depth of 40feet or so. Caught myself some rockbass, bluegill and some crappie around the edges. I’m told the lake also has brown trout and rainbow trout but I wasn’t able to entice any of those onto my rod. Some kids caught a pike off the dock while I was watching so they’re in there too. Bass wasn’t yet open but you could see some monster bass right below the surface hugging close to sunken logs and stumps so definitely a good place for bass once season opens. All in all a great little place to...

This is one of my favorite places to camp, and fun for day use on a small quiet lake. Small and quiet campground with showers and ice and firewood sold on site. Canoe and kayak rentals are available for lake use as well. There is ample picnic space and a small beach down a steep hill to the water as well. The only reason I rank 4 stars is the lack of a playground, though there is a swing set located on the grounds as well as a sandbox, basketball net, horseshoe pits, volleyball court and a badminton net. All equipment for these can also be borrowed from the office as well as life jackets and boating equipment. Overall I've never had a bad experience here and will continue to visit yearly.

I visited Deer Creek Conservation Area recently and had a wonderful time. The reservoir and the creek are both beautiful – perfect for kayaking, canoeing, or just sitting by the water to relax. The creek adds a peaceful, natural touch and makes paddling even more enjoyable. The campground was clean and simple, with washrooms and showers that were well maintained. It’s not overly crowded like some bigger parks, which made the visit calm and relaxing. If you’re looking for a quiet spot with good swimming, fishing, and the chance to explore the creek by boat, Deer Creek is definitely worth visiting.
