This is well worth the visit if you happen to be near Tena and like a rugged, authentic upper Amazon experience. I really like the self-guided tour approach, where they have 20 signposts along a real Amazon jungle trail (about 1 hour to walk) and 2 plasticized sheets with explanations in English or in Spanish - go at your own pace.
The canopy tower is an incredible experience, if you're brave enough to climb up 100 feet / 30 metres on the outside of the frame! At the top is a small platform overlooking the canopy for as far as the eye can see in all directions, birds noisily calling around you. Staff & volunteers were very friendly, offered for me to join them for lunch.
