Isla Corazon is a beauty natural mangrove island near San Vicente in the coastal province of Manabí Ecuador. It was a refreshing change from towns and beaches. Our guides were friendly and competent and we thoroughly enjoyed the boat ride in the river as well as sight seeing along the outer edge of the mangrove island. There is also a dock and short elevated path into the forest to truly experience the magic of the mangroves. They make a great effort to maintain the operation running, the boat the had running worked perfectly in the morning but in the afternoon they had some engine issues. We saw hundreds of crabs, frigates, pelicans, yellow crowns, migrating birds, white cranes and local herons. Mangroves were spectacular, a unique place to visit in the Manabi coast.
