Best park in Guayaquil, just the public space the city so desperately needed. Place for sports, with courts for basketball, soccer and volleyball. Platforms to skates and bikes. Nice water fountains around. Well planned, with lots of parking. Contains an amphitheater to watch live performances. Inside the complex there's a public stadium. Top soccer teams from Ecuador play there cause River Ecuador team is local there. Places to eat around. Some places serve coffee, but it is not good. Right now the park has 2 main areas, separated by a big highway. No pedestrian walk yet to cross so it is kind of dangerous because there is heaps of traffic, which makes it almost impossible to go from one side to the other. Currently authorities seem to be building an elevated pedestrian walk, so that would solved that problem. Parks is not finished yet, so there would be much more thing to see when everything is complete. The park is big and have multiple entrances, easy to get lost. If you are planning to meet someone better coordinate well cause the park it's huge. There is some nice water fountains along the main park street. Park is also relatively safe, with guards and everything. Pet friendly, many pet related activities during the weekend. Also there's is some people providing services in the park, such as bike rental, hover board rental and some weird games that I cannot recall the name of. Probably one of three best public places to visit in the city, competing directly with malecón and Parque histórico for the first place. Each place has its own charm, so it's hard to choose. As long as public places to do Sports, this one is by far the best in the city. People love it, we needed a park like this, one of the biggest in South America. Obbiusly, theres Not so much people during weekdays, much more people during...
Read moreExcellent park. Very large with a variety of things to do. We have gone multiple times and had a different experience each time. They have hiking/biking trails, a zip line, rock climbing wall (closes at 5:30 PM), an amphitheater, soccer fields, jogging trails, a variety of playgrounds and green space to fly a kite, public restrooms, a large soccer stadium and more. I feel like this park pulls its inspiration from Central Park in NYC as an urban getaway. It is a relatively new park so there will probably be more fun things added...
Read moreThis is a very nice park. If you are a tourist and love to visit natural urban areas this is the best place for you. Why? Well, this park has two areas. The first area is where there are futbol, basketball, tenis, jogging, bike, and different sports spaces. The second area is a little remanent of dry forest where you can trekking or do mountain biking. This is one of my favourite places to enjoy nature without to pay entrance or something. This is a good place to do urban...
