It has changed its name to the museum of Lojanidad. It is at the entrance of the Universitad Technical Particular de Loja. Ask the taxi driver to take you to this university because it is more well known than the museum. It is right above the city gates. You can see the campus with its big buildings and murals from the city gate. The museum had only one floor open when I went. It was closed for the afternoon and opened at 3. There were a few archaeological finds, and a section demonstrating the textiles/costumes/weaving of the Saraguro people. Nothing special.
