A great experience. Many interesting hawks, eagles, condors and some amazing owls in fairly large cages to admire.

Lots of interesting info about them too. The flight and educational demonstrations were pretty cool. Unfortunately the whole thing was in Spanish and the handler didn’t speak any English.

I was expecting to see condors included in the show, but they were not. The several hawks and large eagles were quite amazing though.

Get there at least 45 minutes before the show, so you have time to see everything, or allow this time after the show.

We took a taxi which took us to the entry. It was only $5 for quite a long ride from town. We were told the bus drops you some distance from the gate, and it seemed a long way, up many steep hills, so I don’t know how long they would take.

The office called a taxi for us to get back.

Bear in mind they may not fly the birds if the wind is strong or if there Is rain.

Well worth the...

Loved it! It's a sanctuary for birds of prey. People who try to get those exotic birds out country and get caught, those birds will be taken there and be looked after. They do a show once a day, not with condors, but with eagles, hawks, owls and other birds. The show is in spanish, so if you want to understand... learn spanish or take a guide with you. Oh and the park has 2 actual Condors aswell out of 150(about) that live in Ecuador.

It is a bit longer walk from the town and if you are with a car you need too have your keen eye for the signs, because not every turn has a...

The bird presentation with the trainers was great, and the view of the pavilion was amazing. It overlooked the city as he gave a presentation of the different species they have at the park. He also allowed the children to wear a glove and hold a smaller bird for pictures.

However, the park itself was fairly steep and not handicap friendly. Also, many of the cages were empty and the cafe didn’t actually have any coffee available. My family did enjoy the park, but the presentation was by far the best part. I would recommend this park as a quick in between event or a smaller event...
