Beutiful place. It has been renewed, with better facilities than before. State founded but it also accepts donations at the entrance. Clean and organized with nice staff. Not much animals to see but it also functions as a rescue center for injured marine animals. The penguins and the Galapagos turtles are the main attractions. View of the seacoast and bushy estuary ecosystem is incredible, great for pics, specially panoramic ones. Clean toilets. Ample parking. Snacks and crafts at the entry. Wheelchair accessible. There is a projection room but I've never seen it open. Also there seems to be a pathway to the beach but as Sept 2019 it was closed. Read moreThis is wildlife rehabilitation center that is open to the public. The primary purpose of the center is to rescue and rehab animals for release back to the wild. They offer free admission & parking for the public, and accept donations of food (fruits & veggies) & vegetable oil for feeding the animals. No monetary donations are accepted.
During our visit, we saw two Galapagos Tortoises, multiple smaller species of turtle & sea turtle, a penguin, assorted fish, and lobster.
