Zoorefugio Tarqui — Attraction in Tarqui

This is a zoo and animal rescue facility. The property is a nature trail walk around a meandering river. It is beautiful and mostly peaceful except for the the excited chatter of the parrots and monkeys at times.

The staff has made a good effort to give these animals a good homes, with toys and space in the habitats despite limited resources. Some of the rescue animals we a bit sad to see because they were in poor condition but it was good to know they have a home now.

Really amazing animals there! So sad that they were maltreated in the past bit wonderful that this program rescues them and they seem very well cared for there. The restaurant also had good food.
