We had a great time running the class 3 rapids on the Jantunyacu with Raft Amazonia. They were willing to make the trip with just the 2 of us so they are super flexible (my wife didn't want to paddle so they actual got some friends to come along to assist with the paddling...now that's service!) Our guide Vladimir was excellent and trained in Switzerland and speaks excellent English. They had another guide in the kayak for safety who also took some great photos which were included with the tour. We felt very safe the whole time and had a great experience on the river and the surroundings. My wife who had never gone rafting before really enjoyed it. Extra plus they also provided us with splash jackets even though we didn't find the water that cold but it certainly helped make the trip more comfortable. Highly recommend going with Raft Amazonia which is owned and operated by indigenous Ecuadorians.

We had an amazing day rafting down 27km on the Jatun Yaku river (class 3 rapids) with Raft Amazonia. I highly recommend going with this family-run company: father and son made sure from start to finish that we’d have a fun experience. The jungle scenery was stunning and the kayaker following us for safety took amazing pictures of us that are included in the price.

Jose was our main man(tour guide) throughout our time in Tena, and he was as "pumped" as we were. Energetic, fun & informative, Jose showed us a great time and spectacular sights. As Jose often said himself, SI SE PUEDE!

Great day rafting the Jatunyacu river class III with Raft Amazonia. There were only two of us but still had a super time - Gregory and Leandro were very friendly and looked after us well. They have quality, safe equipment, start with a thorough safety briefing and also use a safety kayaker as well as the guide on the raft.

Extremely large and tasty lunch included and pickup/dropoff at our hotel was super smooth.

Very easy to communicate via WhatsApp too and their office is in central Tena. The kayaker also doubles as a photographer and you get sent all the photos and videos on Google Drive afterwards!

Be advised the trip is a long one and the sun can be very fierce, so would recommend long sleeves and bottoms (leggings or similar) if you can manage it - the sun cream will wash off pretty quickly!

Thanks again for...

The rafting trip on the Jondachi / Hollin rivers was AMAZING. Gregory, our fully competent guide, spoke excellent English and was a lot of fun. Safety was paramount and he went through all the necessary instructions. Lunch was awesome and the rapids were adrenaline fueled fun. To be surrounded by such lush jungle was also gorgeous The only downside is I wish they told you take all your jewellery off (even rings) as I discovered after this is what other operators in Colombia instruct. The shoes I was wearing for the walk to the river kept slipping off my feet when they got wet and meant that I came out of the boat (which despite a little scary was also fun!) and I lost my ring due to the currents. Wished I had been told to take it off!  The photos were great too and had a good laugh at the ones of me...
