مكونات المتحف تعتبر مسيرة الإبداع في تاريخ الرى بمصر منذ تولى على باشا مبارك أول وزارة للري كما أنه يضم صالات عرض متطورة ومختلف النماذج الطبيعية والمجسمة والمصورة  وصور وخرائط لمشروعات الري والصرف فى مصر منذ عهد الفراعنة حتى الآن وطريقة إنشائها والجهود التى بذلها محمد على باشا مؤسس الدولة المصرية الحديثة فى توفير المياه.

تم تطوير حديقة المتحف التى يوجد بها أشجار نادرة مثل  شجرة "التين البنغالى" بحديقة المتحف وهى أحد أنواع الأشجار التى أدخلها الاحتلال الفرنسي إلى مصر تتميز عن باقى الأشجار بضخامتها وأنها أكثرهم ظلا وتتميز بمنظرها الجذاب وهي من الشجر النادر في العالمى وجد منها في مصر أربع شجرات فقط واحدة فى...
