What a great place, staff are very friendly and happy to give you advice on improving and learning new tricks. Food and drinks are good, though the beer can add up to be a bit expensive. The only down side I'd say are the rocks that can cut your feet up, if you step on the wrong one, but the simple answer is don't fall off at the wrong point. (Lesson learnt after day 1). It has two main cables and two 2.0 systems. A large anti-clockwise on the left and a regular sized (still quite large) clockwise system on the right. It can be quite a long walk in if you come off on the far corners, especially on the left cable. But this can be avoided if you're experienced or a quick learner. Further to the right they have the two 2.0 learner cables. Another drawback can be the wind if you're unlucky, we missed two of our 6 days because of high winds, but even then if you're willing to battle through it they will open the cable up for you (unless it's dangerously strong winds). With this, they gave us a certificate to claim our two days at any time in the next two years, which is pretty awesome. All in all, definitely recommend it, no matter what your experience as they have plenty of obstacles to keep the more experienced riders entertained. Can't...
Read moreI agreed to have an appointment on August the 2nd at 11 and it was bday if my husband.
The staff at the reception wasn't aware of booking, moreover staff didnt look helpful or friendly.
Nobody cared to make an orientation or give a key from the locker (they simply forgot) - we had to go in rounds just wasting our time.
To know any info you must ask, nobody directs you. Moreover they don't inform instructors that customer is on the way. They were simply surprised seeing new people coming for a lesson.
Place looks deserted however plenty of staff just hanging around.
I already complained to the page in private. They apologized claiming that reception is under training. Well, the rest of the staff isn't trained too and why it should be my problem..
But I must highlight, that after a feeling just to leave and not to waste a birthday, Mohamed Fahmy (instructor) provided a very good lesson, was helpful, welcoming. He loves what he does.
Nevertheless, the entire complex can't depend on efforts of one gentleman.
Shame seriously, as well as videos and pictures are...
Read moreThis is an awesome place to wakeboard with the whole family. Beginner course and lessons available and a really good instructor (Mahmoud) helped my son (11yrs old) go from having never wakeboarded to open cable in 2 days. My son absolutely loves it now and makes this his place of choice when we are booking our holidays :)
Update: many of the obstacles need preventative maintenance and but unfortunately undergo reactive maintenance and hence the course can all to often be left bare; obstacles also are often missing anchors and hence drift with current and tide; the showers are often missing a handle and hence rendered inoperable; operational staff are generally friendly & helpful, but unfortunately turnover is high. Food has improved but unfortunately no new menu items have been added since last season. Prices for Wakeboarding have increased but this is not reflected in services provided.
