Paradise Island Hurghada — Attraction in Giftun Island

This island i couldnt give more than a 3 It could gain higher but honeslty a few issue that need be addressed

Water is clear blue and amazing for photos i went in winter and was busy. I can imagine it been rammed in peek season for sure

Its a well set out island. It does feel very man made like crushed up rock and sand Very commercialised and your guide will take you to there mates or well known best spots for there tour.

If you get a great guide like us, he will help you on the island.

As soon as we arrived we were taken to there section, great service brought us padded bean bag style seats Also a leatherette beach seater sofa

We organised it in our large group and as 2 people went for photo shoot, a grumpy staff id assume dragged it from us and said no cant do that, which is so bad and not customer friendly

Again we were told at beginning, to order drinks and see prices.

As we got pur 2nd round of drinks he tried charge us 19 euro extra, so do be careful photo or reask for menu - discusting behaviour of them, but had a great guide to help with this.

1 last thing is if the water taxi that brings u to the island sees u have any snacks or drinks with you, he kicks of to your guide and nearlly doesnt take you. Again ive found egypt very very sales driven every oportuntity commercialised.

Qe only had 500ml bottle of fanta as 1 of oir large group os sea sick and sips pop of feels queezy. We spent aboit 120 euro om drinks on the island, withimg 1.5hrs.

So overall yes great for them snaps but the negative more than ourways its...

Definitely far away from paradise. While I have to admit that the white sand looks great, it ends there. You have to be told where to sit, where to lay and where to share the single umbrella with 2 other complete strangers (especially during covid). You will need to move a few meters from the shore to be able to feel the sand, until then, everything is just rocks, pebbles, pieces of corals and sharp seashells.

All the boats are parked right in front of the island which is not very aesthetically pleasing. On top of this, you can smell the engines and fumes everywhere and you can also hear all the running engines.

If the sound of engines is not your style, you can also enjoy the same 5 remix/mainstream songs being played on a loop throughout the island from a pair of cheap speakers so it sounds absolutely horrible - definitely not something you would expect from a paradise.

I won't comment on the prices as I was expecting them to be high anyway so I brought my own drinks.

Also, there is no shower on the island even though the toilets have running water.

This was also one of the most crowded places I have encountered in Egypt.
