Akoya Water Park — Attraction in Matruh

The negative reviews had made us worry that the day might not be enjoyable. But, it’s like any other place, there are rules, and everyone is expected to follow them.

We entered the aqua park after leaving our snacks in the locker at reception. The kids quickly started enjoying the aqua water games.

One of the water park team helped in spotted the sunbeds and umbrellas in the spot we chose, then headed to the changing rooms and picked up our towels.

Had a great time at the main aqua area and the wave pool.

There’s a break time in the aqua park from 1 to 2 PM – a good chance to pray, have lunch, or just rest. There are several restaurants, cafes, and juice bars where you can order anytime.

As for the last point, which a lot of reviews mention – the flies: thankfully, it wasn’t as bad as described. It might have been worse at other times, and honestly, that’s something common across the North Coast.

It's an amazing water park however it's a bit overpriced and it can get exhausting go up the stairs alot, you pay 450 per adult and 350 per child also not including food or snacks but the slides are amazing and so enjoyable and it's a great place for all ages. Also the bathrooms and the changing rooms are so clean there's two bathrooms and two changing rooms and two shower rooms all with doors and secure locks. In addition the restaurants there make very good food but beware of the flies that are going to ruin your lunch and are going to swarm you while you're eating . But overall the park is amazing and the staff there are very friendly and helpful and. I definitely recommend it but side note there's a break from 2pm to 3pm a lunch break to get lunch if you want ....

Last year visit (2021) was much better than this year (Sep 2022) the inappropriate way of inspection by the guard on the main entrance was the first negative point. There is no pest control at all flies is all over the place in a very annoying way. The mandatory one hour break is something really strange. i understand that the staff need to have a break but to force the guest to have a break !!! this is something so un professional. The type of music and songs they play all day gives you the feeling that you are in a very local weeding party ( bad taste last year they used to play Fayroz this year they played Mahrganat).
