Title: Diving Into Dreams: The Blue Hole of Dahab

Review:

Embarking on a snorkeling journey through Dahab's Blue Hole was like stepping into a living canvas. Renowned as a diver's mecca, this awe-striking natural wonder lived up to its mythical reputation and then some. As I plunged into the crystal-clear waters, I was enveloped in a world where vibrant coral reefs command the seafloor and eclectic marine life dances in the sunlit waters.

Over an hour, I drifted through this underwater gallery, witnessing a mesmerizing parade of marine biodiversity. Majestic in their calm elegance, manta rays soared through deeper currents, while schools of spirited clownfish played hide-and-seek among lush anemones—a pulsating spectacle of life and color.

The geological masterpiece of the "Arch," a gateway between the Blue Hole and the open sea, stood as a testament to nature's artistry. Even as a snorkeler, the depths revealed their secrets, offering awe-inspiring views that urged me onward.

Beyond the water, Dahab charmed me with its laid-back vibes. Wandering through bustling markets, I savored the rich flavors of Egyptian delights and paused at the poignant memorial wall, a tribute to souls enchanted forever by the Blue Hole's mystic depths.

Dahab's Blue Hole is a pilgrimage worth making for those drawn to the thrill of snorkeling or diving. Dive into this paradise with respect for its beauty and dangers, and it promises an experience etched in memory. Dive safe, dive smart, and prepare to...

About 1.30 hours from Sharm el Sheikh, the Blue Hole is an amazing spot to snorkel or dive. It has two main entrances for snorkelling, one in which you start your journey through a coral tunnel. I recommend Camels restaurant for the food and a safe haven to leave your stuff while you explore.

Hidden things to watch out for in 2024

Police check points:

You need your passport with you at all times.

Your guide or taxi driver needs to confirm he can get you in as there are some secret government rules that prevent you from doing it on your own.

Your driver needs to understand the road to the hole is for 4x4. Ours didn't mind destroying his car to get there.

Entrance fee: It's not free. Cost us $10 per person. Or 650 EP each.

Your restaurant can give you a toilet pass to avoid the cost to pee.

Overall it was worth the visit and don't forget to climb the steps on the hill to see the view of the...
