Pretty place to visit with an art center and a caricature museum. But it was our worst sleep ever. Infested with mosquitoes that kept us up all night (this is a Fayoum issue, but other hotels we stayed at spray the room for you or instal mosquito repellents). Room was surrounded by barking dogs occasionally fighting with neighbours dogs. We couldn’t leave at night to get mosquito repellent from the car. Finally there is a mosque next door and its microphone kept playing random lectures overnight (probably just a Ramadan thing) but it was very loud as if the speakers are installed in our room. We had to keep the ceiling fan on overnight and adjust the beds so we sleep under it to keep mosquitoes away but even the fan we so shaky we felt it will fall off on us. The owner is nice and gentle. I expected him to apologize or explain the situation but that didn’t happen too. Sad a place with such potential came...

We had fantastic time in Tunis Village, hospitality highly recommend for anyone who seek peaceful slow paced travel.
The only thing need to be aware of is the little coffee stand on the right hand side of the gate of art center, ask the price before you order it, we had the most expensive coffee and waffles during 1 months traveling in Egypt. But inside the museum there are no texts or descriptions, so without a guide you would just look at the pictures and maybe don’t really get the meaning
