The water was too cold to get into but the view is beautiful and you can rent hammocks. Beware of scams though, when we asked someone how to get a hammock he said we could rent one for an hour for $40 USD but we found out later from a shop owner you pay at the entrance $2 to rent one for the whole day. They do close at 4pm so he there early!

Very beautiful lake, it was a super volcano a long time ago, now it’s filled with water, and a smaller volcano came about, hence a smaller island. It was a nice trip around the lake and beautiful veneer all around.

El Lago de Ilopango, hermoso lugar que puede verse desde diferentes municipios, uno de ellos es ingresando por Cafe Santa Cruz, ubicado en la carretera panorámica, km 24, donde tienes diversas opciones, como disfrutar de la vista desde el restaurante mientras compartes un café con amigos o familia, y/o realizando una corta caminata para ver el lago de cerca ya sea de día o de noche, ya que cuenta con zona de camping, donde hay diversas opciones para elegir, desde quedarse en la cabaña, el kiosko donde pueden instalarse tiendas, hasta acampar cerca de la orilla del lago

The boatride here was very calm and relaxed. Got to see the fish farms. Also the trash along the shores - although, on the day we went there were many volunteers picking up trash

Beautiful place to visit. Food is delicious. You must take the boat rides and stop at the islands because they have amazing views. Check it out for yourself.

Lago de Ilopango near from San Salvador , El salvador. Only bad thing over price $ 3 dollars per person ,,they should charge per car 🤔
