Termos del Río is an affordable and family-friendly water park featuring fun attractions like water slides, a wave pool, canopy and a relaxing thermal water pool. It’s a great option for a day trip with friends or family.

Parking is very cheap at just $1.00. We purchased a combo package at the entrance for $27.00, which included entry and lunch for five people; a great deal! Note that staff check bags at the entrance to make sure you’re not bringing in alcoholic beverages, hammocks, tables, or chairs. However, all of those items are available for rent once you’re inside.

You can buy different packages through the Termos del Río website, which makes it easy to plan ahead based on your group size and budget. There are combos that include entrance, food, and other extras.

Inside the park, you can rent hammocks, tables, and chairs. There are small stores and restaurants that sell just about anything you might need during your visit. Some offer traditional Salvadoran food, which was okay not amazing, but decent for the price.

The combo meal we received was reasonable for the price, but the portions were small if you’re really hungry, it won’t be enough. We also bought a Papa John’s pizza and were disappointed. It was cold, flavorless, and seemed like the ovens weren’t working. I highly recommend not buying pizza there.

The staff were kind and welcoming, which added to the overall experience. That said, the food service definitely needs improvement in terms of quality and temperature.

The place is very nice and prices are very reasonable, very family oriented, my one problem I came across was my service animal, he is a small dog (yorkie) they wouldn’t allow him in because of Political reasons, I talked to a lot of people and not one wanted to lesson to me, until I was going to bring him back home and was going to come back and they told me I had to pay for parking again it’s only a $1.00 but that wasn’t the point, so a security guard asked if I wanted to talk to a higher up and I said yes of course I do, when I talked to management she said because there are strays in here she didn’t want our dog to get hurt I assured her that he wouldn’t, after complaining for 45 mins they allowed him in, when paying my entree fee the cashier was very rude, and throwing the receipt to me, so my complaint here is they do NOT ALLOW...

La verdad que por el precio que pagas, el esparcimiento que recibes está más que bien. El lugar es muy accesible, quizá a 45 min o menos de San Salvador. Fácil acceso a las instalaciones. Amplio parqueo al interior, solo hay que pagar $2 por su uso. Para el ingreso hay que pagar en taquilla; hay distintas opciones, que van desde una entrada simple de $5 por persona, niños que miden más de 1.10 metros pagan ingreso normal. También está una opción de grupo familiar que incluye comida para el almuerzo por $52.00. Aquí hay un pequeño truco, si entran a la página web del turicentro pueden descargar cupones de descuento, uno del 50 % de descuento en entrada individual, y otro por $27 que incluye el ingreso para cinco personas a las instalaciones más almuerzo igualmente para cinco personas. Ya adentro están disponibles como una especie de cabañas por $15 su uso, múltiples mesas simples por $3. Recomiendo el pago de la cabaña porque son bastante limpias y prácticas, con su propia mesa bastante grande, vestidor y una hamaca, ideal para una familia. Hay 5 piscinas, una para niños, una de olas, una para toboganes, una para deportes y otra de aguas termales. Al menos durante mi visita, estuvo atestado de personas, porque era vacación, pero noté que las piscinas estaban bastante limpias al ingresar. Es lógico entonces que en un día de no mucha afluencia de personas, las piscinas estarán muy limpias, que esa fue mi impresión al llegar. Los toboganes son bastante retadores, te hacen subir la adrenalina así que es únicamente para los valientes, sobre todo el amarillo. Hay otras actividades, como andar en tren, viaje a caballo, canopy, carro a pedales, todas ellas por $1. La comida, pues fue mi mejor sorpresa porque aunque no es cocina gourmet, el sabor, la calidad no estaban para nada mal, así que con total confianza, quedará satisfecho por la comida. Por cierto no se admite el ingreso de bebidas alcohólicas, ni fumar, lo que está ideal para disfrutar de un ambiente familiar. Los baños también son bastante aseados, muy bien atendidos. Hay seguridad en el lugar, pero siempre procure dejar a alguien a cargo de las cosas en su ubicación mientras el resto disfruta del esparcimiento. En conclusión es un lugar al que yo volvería y muy recomendable, para tener en cuenta y hacer una escapada de fin de semana y pasarlo...
