Google maps will tell you that you can approach the falls from two directions. You have to go in from the west side by “primero de mayo cooperativo”. You have to park about 100M from the cooperative unless you’re on a motorcycle. Walk to the cooperative and the locals working the land will direct you where to go. From the cooperative follow the little irrigation canal and head towards the power line tower across past the football goals. From there head all the way down the hill - once you reach the river you will need to hike up the gorge a few minutes to get to the waterfall. It’s a complicated find but you’ll have it to yourself.    Read moreThis waterfall is amazing and beautiful but it’s pretty hard to get to. There’s no real signage and the exact location on google maps isn’t quite accurate. Recommend asking around how to get there. People are super nice. And if someone offers to guide you there then definitely take it.
You hike into a canyon to get there and need to know the way down. Also, if it’s raining then the canyon can easily fill up and become inaccessible. Or there can be a flash flood.
