Nigula raba matkarada — Attraction in Häädemeeste vald

Nice and long lasting trail along the Nigula lake and swamps. Wooden path is built along the trail, but is quite narrow- only for walking one by one. Two wooden observation towers and two wooden bridges were built along the trail.

We have visited trail when the fog covered the nature and scenery was really brilliant. Lake was merged with fog, so view was incredible.

Trail looks incredibly wild especially at evening. I would say that we had a filling that we are only one at the globe there. Too silient, too magnific, too incredible!!! If you like the unation with nature, then this trail is definitely for you!!!

Overall trail is around 5km and for us it took 1h 45min to pass it.

WC and parking are aviable on the begging of trail.

Generally trail is quite similar to Latvian trail along the swamps(Cenas tīreļa laipu taka).

Trail is located really in the middle of nowhere, because getting there takes around 20km driving by countryside road, along the lands and woodes, besides both sides of road have water channels. 04.09.2022 - Ilus edasi-tagasi ca 6,6km rabarada. Autotee ok, viimased 7km korralik lai kruusatee, ei miskit ekstreemset. Parem kui mõni läti auklik asfaldttee. Parklas kohti ca 10le autole, wc on vaid parklas. Üldiselt terve rada laudtee, kuival ajal ja jääga ilusti läbitav. Laudis on terve, kuid alustoe lauad mõne kohapeal rappa vajunud, ilmselt märjemal ajal võib vesi laudteel olla. Rada läheb parklast järveni, siis laudtee 3km üle raba millel on 2 vaatetorni, üks lahe kõikuv sild ja lõpus on salumetsa saar kus laudtee lõpus on istumiskoht. Väga palju vanu puid on kukkunud maha, metsas oli kuulda vaid puude kriuksumist, ei olnud orava kisa ega linnu laulu, pimedas võib seal päris hirmus olla. Raja lõpus on näha vana raja metsatee, ilmselt metsas oleks see kuidagi läbitav aga kui rabas enam laudteed pole siis raba läbimine on küsitav. Mina vanale teele ei läind kuna nägin seal liiga palju ämblikevõrke. Rada oli huvitav ja oli palju kauneid kohti aga ca 2*2km kõmbid lageda raba peal - see osa oli igav. Ujuda seal ei saa, ujumiskohti pole. Ratastooliga laudteele ei pääse. Wc oli parklas korralik. Soovitan, kuid ainult hooldatud rada mis...

Worth visiting even if it is off your planned route. Free parking, WC onsite. Take some snacks and water. Do not litter and enjoy the real beauty.

It is mostly typical bog landscape, but in the end you'll immerse into something more reminding of North Japanese Forest.
