▶️ Palmse Manor is known as one of the most beautiful manors in Estonia.
The manor was first mentioned in 1510 as a nun monastery.
In later centuries it belonged to von der Pahlen family until the Estonian declaration of independence in 1919.
Manor was built in 1697 but it was made the way we see it nowadays in 18th century. 💥The house was badly destroyed during the Great northern war and restored in 1730
It has been renovated one more time in 1970-1980's.
Apart from the manor house, there are also several beautiful outhouses, such as a distillery, cafe, guesthouse, greenhouse and barn, as well as a great park with typical romantic pavilions and a beautiful pond.

Lovely grounds, nice restaurant on site with views over the lake. Visitors centre with a great RMK display. There's a shop in the ticket office selling the usual gifts.
Spirit distillery museum, orangery, plenty of walks around the grounds and a maze.
The house itself is beautifully presented with each room well explained, plaques on the walls give you the history of the house and the family. The house is on 3 floors including the cellars.
They have live demonstrations in some rooms, and the staff are on hand to provide explanations.
Entrance is €7 per adult and gets you access to the house and other buildings. Just walking around the grounds is free of charge.

Inside the manor: every piece is a 18/19th century and exquisite. Diverse paintings and sculptures of men with big moustaches, photos of ladies and families show that habits and fashion here were very similar than in Germany and France. Interiors are exquisite. The park is composed of several gardens and buildings : bath, guesthouse, saunas, distillery (long chimney), winter garden. And places such as ponds or an orchard This is nice park to enjoy, do not look for a precious garden with everything sized in a strict shape. No, this is well maintained...
